Data Exchange

Data exchange would be best via WeTransfer and with the following guidelines:

For Mixing

  • Please provide all files as WAV and with the same starting position.

  • The sample rate should correspond with your project (e.g. 44.1 kHz) and please choose 32 bit floating-point or if not supported 24 bit for exporting.

  • Please provide two sets of tracks: One including your effects, and another set with the raw, unprocessed material (except for tuning and timing corrections)

  • All tuning and timing corrections need to be printed within both sets of tracks (E.g. Melodyne, Auto tune etc.)

  • Please name the files properly and use the following format: Songname_Trackname.

  • Please include the tempo of the song, your roughmix, and other reference tracks if you want.

For Stem-Mastering

  • Please provide all files as WAV and with the same starting position.

  • The sample rate should correspond with your project (e.g. 44.1 kHz) and please choose 32 bit floating-point or if not supported 24 bit for exporting.

  • Please provide five stereo subgroups of your mix: Drums, Bass, Instruments, Lead Vocals, Backing Vocals.

  • All processing and effects of the individual tracks need to be printed within the subgroups but make sure to remove all processing on the mixbus (limiters, compression etc.) before exporting the stems.
